Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what you give us so the product can help you. We do not sell it, we do not run ads, and you can ask us to delete it.

What we collect

• Account. Your email address. Your password is hashed by our database provider and we cannot read it.
• Check-in answers. The life area you choose, your answers to the questions, and your age range and gender if you choose to share them. Both have a "prefer not to say" option.
• What you write or say. Your description of your situation, replies to follow-up questions, AI chat messages, and text you fill into checklists. This can include sensitive details about health, family or money. Please only share what you are comfortable having saved.
• Without an account too. If you use the free check-in without signing up, what you wrote and the result are still saved. We use this only to learn which situations are common and where the product falls short.
• Voice. If you use voice input, the recording is sent to an AI provider to be turned into text. We do not keep the recording. The text is put in the input box for you to review before sending.
• Attachments. If you attach a file such as a resume, we extract the text for that one conversation turn. We do not store the file.
• Usage events. Which pages and buttons were used, so we can see where people get stuck. These events do not contain the text you typed.
• Email preferences. Whether you agreed to receive product updates and offers, and when.
• IP address. Used to apply free-usage limits and to protect the service from abuse.

Where it goes

• Supabase stores the database. Row-level security means each account can only read and write its own data.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• AI model providers process your text to generate plans and replies. Voice, image and PDF attachments are also processed by an AI model provider. You can email us for the current list of providers.
• Paddle is our online reseller and merchant of record, and processes payments. We receive your payment status and a customer ID, never your card details.

Your data is stored in South Korea. Our website runs on servers in the United States, and our AI model providers process your content in the United States and mainland China. Our payment and email providers may process data in other countries. Laws in these countries may differ from yours. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

Some of the AI model providers we use may use the content they receive to train or improve their own models, and their staff may review it. Please avoid sharing details you are not comfortable with.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language, and keep unsaved work safe. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Under Me you can see what the AI remembers about you and delete items one by one or all at once.
• To delete your whole account and all its data, email support@resetos.ai. We do this by hand and reply to confirm.
• If you used the free check-in without an account and want that record removed, email us with roughly when you used it and what it was about, and we will find and delete it.
• We send emails about product updates and offers only if you tick the optional box when you sign up, or turn it on under Me. You can turn it off under Me at any time, and every such email will include a link to unsubscribe.
• You can also ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you ask us to delete it, we remove it from the live database, and it disappears from backups as they rotate out.

Free check-ins and job-posting checks done without an account are kept for one year from the day you did them, then deleted automatically. If you want one removed sooner, email us.

Children

ResetOS is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older when creating an account. If we learn that someone under 18 has used ResetOS, we delete their data.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
